Job Description

Job Purpose: The OS Service Engineer is responsible for the maintenance, qualification, and repair of laboratory instruments at customer sites. This role ensures optimal performance of multi-vendor equipment through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical support. The engineer also provides usage guidance, monitors technology trends, and may deliver tailored training to enhance customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: Perform preventive maintenance and qualification of laboratory instruments in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and customer requirements. Diagnose and repair hardware and software issues across a range of scientific equipment. Plan and prioritize service activities, ensuring clear communication with internal teams and customers. Maintain accurate documentation of all interventions, ensuring compliance with quality standards. Conduct software and hardware updates as needed. Manage spare parts inventory efficiently. Deliver internal and external technical training on instruments within the assigned portfolio. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality, HSE, Sales, and Technical Support. Represent the organization professionally at customer sites and maintain strong client relationships. Propose improvements to service procedures and suggest new equipment or services to customers. Required Skills & Experience: Strong technical knowledge of laboratory instruments such as HPLC, GC, centrifuges, dissolution testers, biosafety cabinets, and environmental monitoring systems. Experience working in laboratory environments, preferably within pharmaceutical, biotech, or scientific research settings. Ability to deliver technical training and communicate complex information clearly. Proficiency in professional English (spoken and written). Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage travel schedules effectively. Education & Qualifications: Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Electronics, or a related scientific field (Bac2 to Bac5 or equivalent experience). Prior experience in servicing laboratory equipment is highly desirable.
