Travel Nursing Job Details Location: Middlebury, Vermont 05753 Healthcare Setting: Critical Access Hospital – Medical Surgical Telemetry Unit Assignment Duration: 6 weeks (Start: 9/25/2025, End: 11/6/2025) Shift: 12-hour night shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) Hours per Week: 36 Estimated Weekly Pay: $1990–$2130 Employment Type: Travel Nursing Patient Ratio: 1:4-5, based on acuity Documentation System: EPIC Medication System: PYXIS Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Vermont or compact state Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience Progressive care experience preferred Recent EPIC experience (within past 2 years required) Certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS required prior to start) Strong clinical judgment and ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare team Reliable personal transportation (no public transportation available) Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities Deliver patient-centered care to medical, surgical, and telemetry patients, including orthopedics, urology, ENT, GYN, and general surgery Care for progressive care level patients and coordinate transfers for higher acuity cases Perform unit-specific procedures: IV starts, venipuncture, EKGs, and medication administration Respond to Code 99, Rapid Response, and falls as part of the nursing team Collaborate with hospitalists, ancillary staff, and management to achieve excellent patient outcomes Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records Contribute to a culture of teamwork, learning, and professional development Experience Vermont nursing jobs in beautiful Middlebury—enjoy outdoor recreation, vibrant local culture, and a welcoming healthcare community.
