CVICU RN Job Details Position: CVICU Registered Nurse (Travel Nursing) Location: Florence, SC 29505 – South Carolina nursing jobs Healthcare Setting: Acute Care Hospital, Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Start Date: October 20, 2025 End Date: January 19, 2026 Contract Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts (7:00am – 7:00pm), every other weekend, holiday rotation required Hours per Week: 36 Estimated Weekly Salary: $1570–$1680 per week Patient Ratio: 1:2 Charting System: Epic Scrub Color: Royal Blue Parking: Free on-site parking Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 1 year of recent CVICU nursing experience required Strong cardiac care experience required Previous travel nursing experience required Active South Carolina RN license or Compact nursing license (must be in hand prior to start) Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Experience with Epic charting preferred Willingness to float within critical care/intermediate step-down units Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted) First-time travel nurses not accepted CVICU Nurse Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in the CVICU Manage post open-heart surgery patients and those requiring advanced cardiac support Assist with procedures: chest tube insertion/removal, arterial line management, ECMO, IABP, Impella, CRRT, and temporary pacers Interpret arterial blood gases, dysrhythmias, and manage cardiac drips and vasoactive medications Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory services and phlebotomy Float to similar critical care units as needed Participate in holiday and weekend rotations Follow infection prevention protocols and isolation precautions Discover the charm of Florence, SC, while advancing your nursing career in a supportive healthcare environment.
