Estimated Weekly Salary Weekly Salary Range: $1990 - $2130 ICU Nursing Job Details Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nursing Specialty: Cardiac ICU / Critical Care Nursing Location: Falls Church, Virginia 22042 (Northern Virginia nursing jobs) Healthcare Setting: Inpatient Cardiac ICU (24 beds) Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (Day/Night) Hours: 36 hours per week Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 10/5/2025 – End: 1/3/2026) Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend Holiday Requirement: 1 major winter holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's; includes day before, day of, and day after) Floating: First to float to other ICUs, Stepdown, Progressive Care, IMC, and Telemetry units EMR: Epic Scrubs: Navy blue pants and solid navy-blue or white tops Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Virginia RN License or Compact RN License (Virginia nursing jobs) BLS and ACLS certifications required Minimum 2 years of recent Cardiac ICU, CCU, or CVICU experience Recent competency (within last 6 months) in advanced cardiac therapies: VV/VA ECMO, IABP (Intra Aortic Balloon Pumps), TTM/Arctic Sun, Impella, CRRT, PA Catheter Guided Therapy Ability to read and interpret EKG rhythm strips Experience managing and titrating cardiac/vasoactive drips Strong clinical skills and adaptability to float to related units ICU Nurse Responsibilities Deliver expert nursing care to patients with complex cardiac conditions: cardiogenic shock, STEMI, cardiac arrest, advanced heart failure, arrhythmias, and post-procedural management (IR/PCI, TEVAR) Utilize advanced cardiac support modalities and therapies Monitor, interpret, and respond to cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status Manage and titrate cardiac and vasoactive medications Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes Float to other ICU and stepdown units as needed Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR Participate in floor orientation (2 shifts provided) Take your critical care nursing skills to the next level in Falls Church, Virginia.
