Key Job Details – CVICU RN Travel Assignment Location: Florence, SC 29505 (South Carolina healthcare jobs) Facility: Acute Care Hospital, Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 10/13/2025 – End: 1/12/2026) Shifts: 3x12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM), including holiday rotation Hours per Week: 36 Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend Patient Ratio: 1:2 Charting System: Epic Scrub Color: Royal Blue Parking: Free on-site parking Estimated Weekly Salary: $1570 - $1680 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active South Carolina RN license or Compact nursing license (required prior to start) Minimum 1 year of recent CVICU RN experience (cardiac nursing experience required) Previous travel nursing experience in critical care or CVICU settings Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (American Heart Association preferred) Epic charting experience preferred Not accepting local candidates (must reside outside a 60-mile radius of Florence, SC) First-time travel nurses not accepted CVICU RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in the Cardiovascular ICU Manage post open-heart surgery patients and those with complex cardiac conditions Operate advanced cardiac equipment: chest tubes, IABP, Impella, CRRT, temporary pacers, Swan Ganz, cardiac output monitors Administer and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips Perform arterial line management, central line care, ventilator management, and related procedures Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapy and phlebotomy Float within critical care and intermediate step-down units as needed Participate in required holiday and weekend rotations Maintain infection prevention protocols and isolation precautions Experience the benefits of travel nursing jobs in Florence, South Carolina—a city known for affordable living, a welcoming community, and easy access to outdoor recreation.
