Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Effectively supervise, schedule, and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously. Supervise and schedule all subcontractors and other employees on projects Provide project direction to construction staff and subcontractors at job sites under the guidance of the Lead Superintendents and Project Managers Coordinate with Project Managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget Work closely with Lead Superintendents, Project Superintendents, Project Managers, and construction staff Communicate efficiently between architects, owners, clients, and Project Managers as necessary Meet with inspectors on site and report accurate details to Project Managers Ensure punch lists are completed in a timely manner Provide hands on skills and perform basic carpentry and general labor tasks Assist Project Managers and Office Personnel with close-out process on each project Make certain all crews and subcontractors comply with safety requirements, building rules and regulations, and company policies Manage time on job sites efficiently Drive safely and responsibly to and from job sites and supply houses Qualifications and Requirements: Must have extensive knowledge of construction drawings and plans Must have valid driver’s license and be able to safely drive vehicles to and from multiple job sites Must be able to operate skid steers, forklifts, pallet jacks, scissor lifts, and similar equipment Capable of using basic hand tools and power tools Capable of moving and climbing ladders, as well as working comfortably on roofs and elevated surfaces Capable of lifting and moving objects weighing up to 100 lbs. Capable of performing physical tasks in areas that are dirty, loud, contain fumes, and/or high temperatures Standing and walking at large job sites (interior and exterior) for multiple hours and up to 10 miles a day Must follow company and client policies and procedures Capable of clear verbal, written, and electronic communications Must take initiative to complete tasks and look for opportunities to assist other employees Personable and professional demeanor, works cooperatively, and customer service oriented Organized, task oriented, and follows through in a timely manner Physical Demands: Must be able to traverse worksite in different types of weather and bend, climb, stretch, reach, and lean to make inspections Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time Standing and walking at large job sites (interior and exterior) for multiple hours Capable of moving and climbing ladders, as well as working comfortably on roofs and elevated surfaces Capable of performing physical tasks in areas that are dirty, loud, contain fumes, and/or high temperatures Education and Experience: Minimum of 5 years field experience as superintendent, or similar role, in commercial construction, ideally with experience in office upfits.
