Thank you!The Staff Pharmacist in Oncology is responsible forproviding patient -centered care in a multidisciplinary practice setting withpharmacists, nurses, physicians, and other personnel. Services provided include (but are not limited to): Assessing patient therapy for appropriateness, incorporating age specificmodifications, and clinical interventions to prevent adverse drug events.Theywill also conduct clinical research and other professional will serve as a liaison to other departments at the Cancer andInfusion Center by providing operational support and educational services fornew treatment regimens.The Staff Pharmacist in Oncology demonstrates in-depthknowledge of the regulations governing the preparation of intravenousadmixtures, chemotherapy, and other sterile products and supervises Pharmacytechnicians and other support personnel.Provides oversight and participates inmaintaining and storing adequate inventory of all medication required for thepractice.Develop and update department and nursing policies.Work with theOncology team to standardize ordering procedures for chemotherapeuticmedications.BERKSHIRE HEALTH SYSTEM WILL NOT CONSIDER ANY TRAVELER WHO RESIDES WITHIN 50 MILES OF FACILITY.
