Class 2 Driver

Job Title: Temp to Perm Class 2 Driver Location: Derby Job Description: Our client is looking for a dedicated and experienced Class 2 Driver to join our team on a temp to perm basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods to various locations. This role is ideal for someone who values reliability and efficiency in their work and is looking for a stable, long-term opportunity. Responsibilities: Operate Class 2 vehicles to transport goods to various destinations. Ensure all deliveries are completed on time and in good condition. Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any issues or necessary repairs. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies to ensure safe driving practices. Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to ensure smooth operations. Assist with loading and unloading goods as needed. Provide excellent customer service and represent Viking Transport professionally. Working Hours: Monday to Friday, starting at 06:00 (dayshift). Compensation: £16 per hour. Requirements: Valid Class 2 driving license. Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not essential. Strong knowledge of road safety and regulations. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic. Must be local to Derby. Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
