CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator

Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer/ Setter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming and operating CNC machinery to produce high-quality parts and components. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical processes, CAD software, and the ability to work with precision tools. The CNC Programmer will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient production while maintaining safety and quality standards. Pay: £15.00-£18.00 per hour Duties Develop and modify CNC programmes based on engineering drawings and specifications. Operate CNC milling machines and other related equipment to fabricate parts. Conduct regular inspections of machinery to ensure optimal performance. Utilise CAD software, such as SolidWorks, for designing and modifying parts. Collaborate with engineers and other team members to troubleshoot issues and improve processes. Maintain accurate records of production data and machine settings. Perform basic maths calculations for measurements and adjustments. Working as part of a small team it is essential to be self motivated with a flexible approach. You will be required to set and operate Mazak CNC machines producing components to tight tolerances. Experience At least 2-3 years experience in a Manufacturing Engineering Environment. Ability to program set and operate CNC Machines including set up of tooling. Able to read and interpret Engineering drawings and work orders accurately. Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail The ability to thrive in a small business environment - willing to get stuck into tasks. You will also take responsibility for keeping your own workspace clean and tidy. Inspection of parts using micrometers, verniers and gauges.
