Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience required License: Must have state license and required certifications in hand prior to start date Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS, RRT Must-Have: - Previous charge experience required - Patient ratio experience preferred - Charting system experience preferred Description: Position: Respiratory Therapist. Shift: Night, from 18:00 to 06:30. First timers accepted. Locals accepted. Pending state licenses are not accepted. Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays. Guaranteed hours: 8 and 10-hour shifts, totaling 40 hours in one workweek. Three 12-hour shifts provide 36 hours in one workweek. Four 12-hour shifts result in 48 hours in one workweek. Type of facility: Short-Term Acute Care. Total staffed beds: 210. Charting system: Cerner. Travelers are required to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals. Candidate must work 2 out of 3 major holidays. Floating is 100% required of all travelers and candidates will float within the facility or to nearby affiliate facilities. Certifications required as per the unit description. Background policies must be noted prior to submission. Candidates must provide 2 supervisor references. Candidate must possess a valid license prior to the start date. Temporary licenses may be obtained once permanent license applications have been submitted. All certifications must be verified prior to employment. RTO: Automatic approval for 5 days of non-holiday RTO or less. Any request for more time requires approval. Local residents are considered local travelers. Local travelers are accepted for Surgical Services positions, Allied positions, and clinics. Special procedures or equipment details may vary by unit. Daily census information will be gathered as needed.
