HonorVet Technologies is seeking a travel nurse RN Wound Care for a travel nursing job in Largo, Maryland. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Wound Care Discipline: RN Start Date: 10/06/2025 Duration: 18 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Wound Care RN – Days | Largo, MD Contract: 18 weeks (possible extension to 26) | Start: 10/06/2025 Facility: University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS) | Centralized Wound Care Department Shift: 4x10s, Days (7:30 AM – 6:00 PM), Mon–Fri, block schedule Pay Package (40 hrs/week): $2,673/week (blended) $18/hr taxable (W2) $1,953/week tax-free stipend OT Rate: $27/hr (W2 taxable) Requirements: Minimum 1 year wound care RN experience (inpatient preferred) Certifications: BLS (required), WOCN (required), ACLS preferred Active MD or Compact RN license (required at submission) Epic charting experience First-time travelers welcome Role & Responsibilities: Cover wound care needs across all inpatient units, PACU, and ED Perform wound vac therapy, debridement (enzymatic, mechanical, sharp), dressing changes, and staging of pressure injuries Support ostomy/continence management programs Collaborate with interdisciplinary team (PT, RT, RRT, pharmacy, social services, etc.) Provide patient/family wound prevention and care education Facility Details: 227-bed hospital | Daily census ~230 Orientation: 24 hrs onsite required modules Weekends: Not required Holidays: Required if scheduled (may request 1 major holiday off in winter) Floating: Required across wound care needs within hospital Scrubs: Not provided Location: 901 Harry S Truman Dr N, Largo, MD 20774 Local radius: 50 miles (locals not accepted) Contract Length: 18 weeks (option to extend up to 26 weeks) Start Date: 10/06/2025 or ASAP Scheduling: Block scheduling, Mon–Fri, 4x10s (no weekends required) Holidays: Must work if scheduled; traveler may request 1 major holiday off during the winter contract Floating: Travelers will float as needed within the hospital to provide wound care support Compliance: Must have active MD or Compact RN license at submission; compliance due 5 days before start Local Policy: Candidates must live 50 miles from facility (locals not accepted) Vaccines: Flu vaccine required (no exemptions); COVID-19 vaccine not required About HonorVet Technologies HonorVet Technologies: Pioneering Purpose, Empowering Heroes Founded in 2015, HonorVet Technologies stands as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) , proudly certified by NaVOBA and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs .
