Pay Information $1,987 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 18 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years required; first-time travelers accepted License: Required Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; NIHSS preferred Must-Have: - Ability to manage cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration) such as milrinone, dobutamine, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Lidocaine, Bumex, and Heparin. - Strong telemetry skills, including interpretation of dysrhythmias and management of various cardiac conditions. - Experience with central line care, chest tubes, and post-procedure care for cardiac patients. Description: The position is in a telemetry unit with a diverse patient population, focusing on adults to geriatrics. Common diagnoses include congestive heart failure, myocardial infarction, chest pain, dysrhythmias, hypertension, pleural effusion, sepsis, and vascular issues. The staff-to-patient ratio is 1:4-5. Daily census averages around 35 patients in a unit that accommodates 36 rooms. Candidates are expected to work every other weekend. Holiday availability is mandatory if major holidays fall within the assignment period. Full compliance with all requirements is necessary to start on time. Clinical screening will take place to determine fit for the position. Flexibility in assignments is encouraged. Local candidates may apply at the same rate. Travel experience is not required.
