Claims Technology Head for APAC and EMEA Job Description Claims Technology Lead for ASIA & EMEA at CHUBB Insurance is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing the strategic, operational, and technical management of Claims Technology systems (including key platforms such as Claim Connect and Fraud Detection) across all regions in Asia and EMEA. This role ensures efficient stakeholder management, delivery excellence, budgetary oversight, robust governance, and the continuous evolution of technical solutions within the COG Claims digital and non-digital portfolio. The Claims Technology Lead will foster a culture of excellence, resilience, and innovation, aligning with both regional and global strategies. Acting as the central authority for project and system escalations, the Claims Technology Lead will strategically oversee risk management, proactively resolve challenges, and drive impactful business value through transformative technology initiatives. Success in this pivotal role demands exceptional relationship-building skills, deep technical expertise, and a demonstrated ability to achieve results within dynamic, multi-regional landscapes. Key Responsibilities 1. Strategic Oversight Drive Claims technology solution alignment with regional and global platform strategy, architectural guidelines, and transformation priorities. Forge direct partnerships with North America Claims technology for strategic alignment and knowledge sharing. Evaluate and advocate for advanced technology solutions that support business modernization, including opportunities involving Cloud technologies and platforms. Champion the adoption of a federated delivery model, balancing regional operational ownership and global alignment with Chubb’s delivery and architecture standards. Key Technology Focus Areas: Architecting for cloud, Legacy modernization, leveraging AI to drive velocity, SRE as a concept and adopting it in an enterprise Central authority for COG roadmaps, escalations, issues, and management for COG Claims digital and non-digital projects across Asia and EMEA. Exercise full accountability for portfolio performance, driving prioritization, execution, and delivery of Claims IT projects, including responsibility for critical systems such as Claim Connect and Fraud Detection platforms. Partner directly with COG Claims COO, Claims Transformation leads, and relevant Process/System Owners to lead initiatives, resolve challenges, and manage portfolio risks. Lead a regional team responsible for global digital project execution and platform management (CSP). Secure internal and external resources — including through effective vendor engagement — to guarantee successful, timely, and cost-effective project delivery in alignment with Chubb’s Workforce strategy. Ensure all projects are built upon solid business cases with quantifiable benefits and are effectively aligned with overall business and IT strategies. Establish and maintain dashboards, executive reports, and steering committee materials that reflect accurate and timely status updates for all Claims IT initiatives. 2. Stakeholder Management & Governance Build, maintain, and expand effective relationships with both business and technology stakeholders across multiple regions and levels. Implement communication and escalation plans supporting transparent, timely exchanges and swift issue resolution for all project and systems activity. Uphold rigorous governance frameworks to ensure that each initiative complies with Chubb’s architectural, regulatory, and change management standards. Oversee robust documentation practices, risk and issue tracking, dependency management, and benefits realization planning. Assure audit-readiness and proper project closure through standardized lessons learned and documentation processes 3. Budget, Vendor, and Resource Management Oversee and take ownership of Claims Technology budgets within Asia and EMEA, ensuring accuracy in budgeting, forecasting, and cost management. Manage vendor selection, engagement, and ongoing performance, optimizing the use of offshore resources and vendor rate models. Develop, mentor, and empower Project Managers and technology team members, driving consistent adoption of Chubb methodologies and performance excellence. 4. Operational Excellence & Process Improvement Partner with Production Support, IT Operations, Infrastructure, and Enterprise Architecture teams to ensure reliable operation, rapid incident response, and minimum operational risk. Lead ongoing process improvement efforts to drive maturity and scalability in project delivery, governance, and technical solution management. Oversee knowledge transfer, user training, and operational handover for all implemented technology solutions. Qualifications Qualifications & Experience: Proven senior IT leadership experience in global/regional Claims or Insurance systems delivery, spanning both digital and legacy technology environments. Deep project and portfolio management skills, with a focus on strong governance, delivery frameworks, and development methodologies in the insurance domain. Demonstrated success managing geographically diverse teams, ideally covering both Asia and EMEA, with sensitivity to local business cultures and regulatory requirements. Strong track record of delivering large, complex technology projects with full accountability for budget, scope, quality, and outcomes. Extensive experience leading and developing internal staff and managing external vendors and partners. Familiarity with regulatory, security, and data privacy requirements impacting insurance and Claims systems operations. Experience with claims processing platforms such as Duck Creek is required. Leadership: Able to inspire, organize, and develop high-performing, multi-locational teams. Stakeholder Engagement: Advanced relationship-building and negotiation skills across executive, business, and technical stakeholders. Delivery Focus: Results-oriented, able to translate business strategy into actionable, measurable delivery. Technical Acumen: Proficient in Claims solutions, IT architecture, and emerging technologies (e.g., Cloud/SaaS), with a focus on innovation within insurance claims. Governance & Process Orientation: Meticulous about compliance, process consistency, and risk management; committed to process maturity.
