PROCUREMENT COORDINATOR

Overview Now Accepting Applications for Procurement Coordinator As a Procurement Coordinator, you will play a vital role in managing the purchasing and contracting activities of the District. This position is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and issuing procurement documents such as requisitions, purchase orders, Invitations to Bid (ITBs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and Requests for Quote (RFQ), while ensuring compliance with District policies and applicable regulations. The Procurement Coordinator researches vendors and market conditions to identify the most cost-effective and reliable sources for goods and services. They review bids and proposals, compile supporting documentation, and assist in contract development and administration. This role also involves maintaining procurement records and databases, monitoring contract performance, and preparing fee schedules as needed. Responsibilities Prepare, review, and issue procurement documents (requisitions, purchase orders, ITBs, RFPs, RFQs) in compliance with District policies and regulations. Research vendors and market conditions to identify cost-effective and reliable sources for goods and services. Review bids and proposals, compile supporting documentation, and assist in contract development and administration. Maintain procurement records and databases; monitor contract performance; prepare fee schedules as needed. Top Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Procurement and Contract Management, Logistics and Supply Chain, Business or related field strongly preferred. Minimum five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in procurement and contract administration, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver license, class “E” and a driving record that meets or exceeds the District’s standards. Proficient in information technology systems and programs, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and related platforms. Starting salary for this position will fall within the following range: $50,692.00 – $64,297.00 per year. With supporting documentation, additional pay is available for education and certifications. Extra pay is also available for select certifications, providing even greater earning potential!
