Maintenance Engineer

Overview Join to apply for the Maintenance Engineer role at Takeda Pharmaceuticals America, Inc. This role focuses on maintaining pharmaceutical equipment and achieving operational excellence within the Maintenance Department. Responsibilities Draft and manage maintenance contracts; organize and coordinate external contractors. Plan and schedule corrective and preventive work orders according to CMMS and production schedules. Support troubleshooting and maintenance activities in compliance with EHS and GMP rules for GxP / non-GxP equipment. Manage parts, documentation, archives, and SOP reviews. Ensure compliance with EHS regulations and support safety culture. Support shift information transfer regarding faults, plant status, and activities. Assist spare parts management, warehouse order status, and system improvements. Manage EHS dossiers, chemical safety data sheets, and GMP archives. Propose technical improvements and projects; perform tasks autonomously with partially defined methods. Support preventive maintenance for new installations and critical spare parts analysis. Ensure compliance with policies, EHS rules, and GMP standards; support corrective and emergency interventions with a systematic approach. Qualifications Master / Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, chemical, electronic, industrial, automation, etc.). 2-3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical sector. Knowledge of industrial systems / utilities; problem-solving skills and technical knowledge. Fluent in English and Italian. Experience in mechanical or electrical maintenance is a plus; proficiency in pharmaceutical systems and equipment; good knowledge of cGMPs and HSE standards.
