Job Description

Over the past 20 years, Amazon has reinvented on behalf of customers and has become the largest internet retailer and marketplace in the world. NOC (Network Operation Center) is the central command and control center for ‘Transportation Execution’ across Amazon's transportation network. It ensures hassle-free, timely pick-up and delivery of freight from vendors to Amazon fulfillment centers (FC) and from FCs to carrier hubs. In case of exceptions, NOC resolves issues and keeps stakeholders informed. NOC also analyzes network data to identify trends and propose process improvements, playing a critical role in Amazon’s logistics and customer service. Within NOC, a dedicated team manages Inbound scheduling, MFI (Missing from inbound), 3P pickups, Vendor returns, and invoice scanning operations across India, AMET (South Africa, UAE, KSA, EGY, Turkey), Australia, Japan, Singapore, Brazil, and Mexico. Role: Transportation Specialist A Transportation Specialist facilitates communication between vendors, sellers, supply chain teams, and FCs, resolving issues impacting vendor/seller experience and business continuity. They focus on inbound operations, including appointment scheduling, freight delivery, and unloading at FCs. The specialist researches internal tools, makes real-time decisions, and drives process improvements to enhance vendor and customer experience. Basic logistics knowledge and clear communication skills are essential. Key Responsibilities The Transportation Specialist manages the flow of information between stakeholders (warehouses, category teams, carriers), resolving issues that affect customer experience and business continuity. They oversee inbound freight planning, appointment scheduling, and issue resolution during freight lifecycle, from forecasting to delivery. The role requires analyzing data, noticing trends, and making timely decisions to ensure smooth operations. Team Overview The NOC Inbound Team manages end-to-end execution of inbound shipments, including appointment scheduling, prioritization, sidelining, rescue, and modifications across India and ECCF countries. Qualifications BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Graduation in any specialization from a recognized university Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Ability to communicate clearly with all customers Good comprehension skills PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience in logistics or supply chain management Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making Amazon promotes an inclusive culture.
