Job Description
Overview The Strategic Planning & M&A Analyst plays a key role in shaping Avolta’s long-term business and financial strategy. This position contributes to the evaluation and follow-up of Avolta’s investment portfolio, ensuring value creation and timely execution of Mergers & Acquisitions projects. The role supports strategic planning through financial modeling, scenario analysis, and business insights, while partnering with cross-functional teams to assess new growth opportunities and drive the delivery of strategic initiatives. The role reports to Global Mergers and Acquisitions Director and is based in Milan, Italy. Responsibilities Build and maintain robust financial models and forecasts to support strategic planning Deliver accurate and insightful business analysis to guide leadership decisions and respond to ad-hoc requests Conduct scenario and sensitivity analyses to evaluate value creation opportunities and assess potential risks Collaborate with Management and Initiative Leaders to assess new strategic opportunities and ensure alignment with growth objectives Monitor strategic initiatives and coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve implementation challenges Support Avolta’s growth strategy through active involvement in identifying, assessing, and executing M&A transactions, investments, joint ventures, and divestitures Coordinate project streams across Finance, Operations, Legal, and Structuring to ensure seamless execution Prepare investment memorandums, conduct valuations, and define key financial metrics and multiples Perform risk assessments on proposed transactions and provide strategic recommendations Partner with business leaders throughout the M&A lifecycle to ensure strategic fit, smooth integration, and value optimization What we are looking for Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred 2–4 years of relevant experience in investment banking, management consulting (Big-4), or corporate finance / business development within a multinational organization Exposure to the retail industry is a strong advantage Solid understanding of corporate finance, valuation methodologies, and financial modeling Proven analytical and conceptual skills with a detail-oriented and solution-driven mindset Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders across cultures and levels Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus Proactive, reliable, and self-motivated with a collaborative and open-minded approach Seniority level: Associate Employment type: Contract Job function: Finance Industries: Investment Banking, Business Consulting and Services, and Financial Services J-18808-Ljbffr
