Job Description Job Description America In Motion Inc. offers 30 years' experience in the design, building and implementation of automated guided vehicles and AGV systems to provide automated material handling solutions featuring AGV technology and other forms of factory automation. DESCRIPTION The Production Manager oversees the entire production process, ensuring efficient and timely output while meeting quality and safety standards. They are responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating daily operations within a manufacturing facility, often managing teams of workers and coordinating with other departments. Their duties encompass everything from developing production plans to analyzing data for process improvement to inventory control. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Production Planning and Scheduling: Developing and implementing production schedules, strategies, and plans to meet production completion dates. Team Management: Leading, mentoring, and motivating production staff, including assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing training. Quality Control: Ensuring products meet quality standards from the delivery of products and throughout the production process. Resource Management: Managing resources such as materials, equipment, and personnel to optimize production efficiency. Problem Solving: Identifying and resolving production bottlenecks, equipment malfunctions, and other issues to maintain smooth operations. Safety Compliance: Ensuring adherence to safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment. Inventory Management: Monitoring inventory levels of materials and supplies to ensure adequate stock for production needs. Process Improvement: Analyzing production data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implementing process enhancements. Cross-functional Collaboration: Coordinating with other departments like engineering and purchasing to align production efforts with overall business goals. Cost Management: Estimating costs, preparing budgets, and controlling expenses related to production activities. REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS -5 years experience with custom manufacturing environment -Understanding of mechanical and electrical schematics and assemblies -Understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and relevant technologies. -Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team effectively. -Ability to identify and resolve production issues, analyze data, and make informed decisions. -Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including production staff, management, and external vendors. -Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines. -Understanding of relevant health and safety regulations and the ability to ensure compliance.
