The successful candidate will be responsible for towing heavy-duty trucks and trailers, providing roadside assistance, and ensuring the safe transport of vehicles to our repair facility. Key Responsibilities Towing Operations: Safely operate and maneuver a heavy-duty wrecker tow truck to transport trucks and trailers from various locations to our diesel mechanic shop. Documentation: Accurately complete all necessary documentation related to towing jobs, including vehicle condition reports, invoices, and customer service records. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to ensure the safety of yourself, customers, and the vehicles being towed. Customer Service: Maintain a high level of professionalism and provide exceptional customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty. Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and maintenance on tow truck equipment to ensure it remains in optimal working condition. Emergency Response: Respond to emergency calls promptly and efficiently, often in adverse weather conditions or during irregular hours. Qualifications and Skills Experience: Previous experience as a heavy-duty tow truck driver or in a similar role is preferred. Licenses and Certifications: Valid CDL with a clean driving record. Additional certifications related to towing and recovery are a plus. Technical Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of diesel engines and heavy-duty vehicles. Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and safe operations. Customer Service: Excellent customer service and communication skills. Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects and working in various environments. Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to handle roadside issues and ensure safe towing operations. This is a remote position.
