Role Definition The field service representative installs, maintains and troubleshoots equipment at the customer\'s location using a set of tools, parts and technical diagrams. Customer service assignments include on-site preventive maintenance and inspection service work, call-out services and commissioning activities on turbomachinery and package systems. The Field Service Representative will travel to and work at Customer site 75 to 80% of the time. Generally assignments are for one week but they may sometimes be up to 4 consecutive weeks. Responsibilities Effective use of test equipment to diagnose and identify malfunctions. Refer to schematics and manufacturers\' specifications to resolve problems. Mentor other field service representatives. Provide technical coaching to peers. Use hand tools, gauges and instruments to analyze, repair or replace faulty parts. Utilize digital tools and systems. Check for common causes of trouble, such as dirty or defective components, clean and lubricate equipment as needed. Perform routine installations and adjust equipment as appropriate within normal procedures. Perform commissioning services for PRU (Package Refurbishments and Upgrades) as well as new equipment. An Engineering Degree or equivalent experience is desired. Skills Service Excellence: Knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques; ability to meet or exceed customer needs and expectations and provide excellent service in a direct or indirect manner. Initiative: Proactive and action-oriented on self-identified job responsibilities and challenges; ability to seek out work and the drive to accomplish goals. Mechanical Maintenance: Knowledge of mechanical equipment and preventive maintenance; ability to repair or replace faulty mechanical parts used in the exploration, production or refining of hydrocarbons. Safety: Knowledge of procedures, practices, considerations and regulatory requirements for safety and protection of workers, environment and company assets; ability to identify and respond accordingly to work-related hazards. Programmable Logic Controller (PLC): Knowledge of PLC; ability to design, implement, and operate automated process controls. Troubleshooting Technical Problems: Knowledge of troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques; ability to anticipate, detect and resolve technical problems in a manufacturing environment. English and Italian languages are mandatory. Any offer of employment may be conditioned upon the successful completion of a background screening.
