Compliance Officer

Midlands Bank, a leader in personalized banking services, is seeking a dedicated Compliance Officer to join our Regulatory Compliance Team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that Midlands Bank adheres to all regulatory and legal standards while continuing to provide exceptional, state-of-the-art financial solutions. The successful candidate will be an integral part of facilitating our commitment to compliance and risk management, supporting our mission of delivering superior customer service across all banking, insurance, and investment operations. Develop, implement, and monitor compliance programs ensuring they meet regulatory requirements and corporate policies. Provide guidance to various departments on compliance matters and interpret regulatory rules and compliance requirements. Regularly review and update internal policies to ensure continuing relevance in compliance with changing laws and regulations. Conduct compliance risk assessments and audits, and implement corrective actions as necessary. Train and educate staff on regulatory compliance requirements and best practices. Manage regulatory submissions and communicate with regulatory bodies and law enforcement agencies as necessary. Stay abreast of new regulations or proposed legislation that could impact the company, and plan proactive adjustments to compliance programs. Strong knowledge of financial and banking regulations such as Dodd-Frank, Basel III, and GDPR. Proficient in compliance management systems and relevant software. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly convey compliance-related concepts to varied audiences. Impeccable attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
