Job Description
Midlands Bank, renowned for its exemplary customer service and cutting-edge technological applications, is looking for a dedicated Compliance Officer to ensure our banking operations and procedures meet all legal and ethical standards. In this role, you will be pivotal in safeguarding our reputation by ensuring the bank's adherence to law and regulatory requirements. Develop, implement, and oversee the bank's ongoing compliance policies and procedures. Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure execution of compliance standards. Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; develop corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues. Respond to government investigations and queries as the principal point of contact. Manage a team of compliance professionals and provide guidance on all compliance related matters. Prepare and present clear and detailed reports to senior management outlining findings and suggestions. Stay abreast of regulatory developments within or outside of the company as well as evolving best practices in compliance control. Strong understanding of regulatory laws and operations compliance across banking and finance sectors. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Proven leadership skills and the ability to manage teams. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Capability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and under tight deadlines.
