Job Description Job Description TEAM MEMBER TEAM MEMBER – ROLE SUMMARY: Being a Team Member (server) at Aubergine is not just about preparing meals or serving customers — it’s about being part of a movement that connects food, people, and care. MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: STATION ORGANIZATION AND PREPARATION • Set up and restock the production line (greens, sauces, utensils, etc.). • Ensure all utensils are in the correct place (spoons, measuring bowls, cutlery, etc.). • Organize and rotate food items correctly (FIFO – First In, First Out). • Notify the prep team about any missing ingredients. CLEANING AND SANITATION • Keep your workstation clean, sanitized, and organized at all times. • Place sanitizer in the station daily and replace it every 2 hours. • Sweep, clean, and organize the line and lobby during your shift. • Take out your trash regularly. • Assist with dishwashing when needed. INGREDIENT PREP • Help in the prep area with food processing and ingredient preparation. • Store prepared ingredients for restocking in accordance with food safety standards. RESTOCKING AND INVENTORY • Restock items in the storage area, including cold and dry goods. • Ensure there is enough backup of prepared ingredients in the fridge for the entire day. • Organize items in the refrigerator functionally and safely, following Health Department regulations. SUPPORT FOR ONLINE AND TO-GO ORDERS • Restock service materials and to-go packaging (bags, utensils, napkins). • Assist in handling and assembling online and catering orders. TEAMWORK WITH CUSTOMER FOCUS At Aubergine Kitchen, we all share the responsibility of providing an excellent customer experience. In addition to your daily tasks, you may also be asked to help in other areas orwith different duties during peak times or slower periods, such as: • Clearing bowls and utensils from tables after use. • Helping clean and organize the dining area (tables, chairs, floor). • Restocking disposable utensils, napkins, and bags at the self-service station. • Supporting your team or other areas whenever needed, always with a focus on customer satisfaction. CUSTOMER SERVICE RESPONSIBILITIES – TEAM MEMBER EXCELLENT MEAL PREPARATION • Follow the correct portions and measurements for each item to ensure consistency and quality. • Assemble dishes with attention to appearance: food should look visually appealing, fresh, and match the product photo. • Show care and attention to detail in every dish, as if preparing it for a special guest. DELIVERY AND PRESENTATION • At times, personally deliver finished dishes to customers at their table in a friendly and attentive manner. hospitality. • Make sure the customer receives exactly what they ordered, with a smile, kindness, and ENVIRONMENT CARE AND POST-SERVICE • After the customer leaves, quickly and discreetly clear plates, utensils, and cups from the table. • Thoroughly clean and sanitize the table for the next customer, ensuring a pleasant environment. • If necessary, sweep the floor in the area to maintain cleanliness and a good impression of the restaurant. Always be kind and willing to help the customer. REQUIRED SKILLS/COMPETENCIES: • English speaking – The ability to communicate effectively in English is a plus. • Excellent customer service skills and a friendly attitude. • Attention to detail to ensure visual presentation and correct product standards. • Ability to work under pressure. Speed and endurance to perform in a fast-paced environment. • Professional demeanor and positive energy. • Organized and quick when handling multiple orders during peak hours. • Strong communication and teamwork to keep service running smoothly. • Willingness to follow recipes accurately and keep the area clean and restocked.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: • Must be at least 16 years old. • Prior experience as a server is a plus. • Must successfully complete company training. • Must present a valid Food Handler certification within 14 days of hire. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: • Available to work 4 to 5 shifts per week, including one Friday or Saturday shift, weekends, and holidays. • Willing to stand and walk for extended periods of time. • Able to lift, push, and carry items up to 50 lbs (approx. 22 kg).
