Job Description Job Description Job Summary : As a Manager at Hoof and Barrel, you will oversee the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring that all staff members deliver exceptional service and that guests have a great experience. You will also manage inventory, handle customer complaints and ensure adherence to company policies. Key Responsibilities : Supervise and train restaurant staff, including servers, hosts, cooks and bartenders. Oversee daily operations, ensuring smooth service and a high standard of customer experience. Manage inventory levels, order supplies and monitor food and beverage costs . Handle customer complaints and resolve any issues or concerns promptly. Ensure compliance with all health, safety and sanitation regulations. Assist in the hiring and onboarding process for new staff members. Manage and monitor l abour cost . · Set and maintain a shift schedule, with use of the Toast/Sling app. · Control labour cost and efficiency. · Facilitate quick and efficient communication between front and back-of-house. · Regularly review product quality and research new vendors. · Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity. · Estimate future needs for goods, kitchen utensils and cleaning products. · Manage restaurant’s good image and suggest ways to improve it. · Control operational and food costs and identify measures to cut waste and avoid theft. · Promote the brand in the local community through word-of-mouth and restaurant events. · Recommend ways to reach a broader audience (e.g. discounts and social media ads). · Implement policies and protocols that will maintain future restaurant operations. · Direct and accurate reporting to upper management. · Manage inventory and maintain sufficient stock levels. · Ensure that Assistant manager is trained on all aspects of management. · Report to Owners. Qualifications : Previous management experience in a restaurant setting preferred. Strong leadership, organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to handle high-stress situations and maintain a positive attitude. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of budgeting, inventory control and employee management.
