Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 10/20/2025 Duration: 16 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days, nights Employment Type: Travel Title: Travel RN – MS/Tele (Day or Night) – Columbus, OH Details: Location: 460 W 10th Ave, Columbus, OH 43210 Start Date: October 20, 2025 Contract Length: 13–16 weeks Shift Options: Day (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) OR Night (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), 3x12 hrs/week Hours per week: 36 Unit: 21 East & West, Head & Neck and Neuro (MS/Tele) Float: Yes, to similar MedSurg Oncology units Pay Package: Total Hourly Pay Rate: $62.78/hour Taxable W2: $20.00/hour Non-Taxable Stipend: $42.78/hour Weekly Gross: $2,260/week Taxable W2: $720/week Non-Taxable Stipend: $1,540/week OT Rate (W2): $30.00/hour Required Experience & Certifications: Minimum 2 years RN experience (Oncology preferred but not required) EPIC charting experience required Active OH or Compact RN license at time of submission BLS required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred; OCN preferred Flexibility to work weekends and float as needed Willingness to learn and grow nursing practice Skills & Responsibilities: Manage mixed acuity patients (MS PCU) with head/neck cancers, neuro-oncology, and brain tumors Interpret and manage dysrhythmias; cardiac monitoring and emergency response Tracheostomy care including suctioning, inner cannula changes, and drain management (JP, Hemovacs) Administer medications including chemotherapy Collaborate with interdisciplinary team (PT, RT, social services, rapid response, pharmacy) Adhere to infection prevention and fall safety protocols Unit & Facility Highlights: Beds: 36 Daily Census: 32 B450 monitors, GE telemetry system, bladder scanners, Alaris pumps, Stryker beds Academic teaching hospital environment Self-scheduling with requests reviewed before balancing and posting final schedule First week: Mon–Fri day-shift orientation; second week: on-unit orientation with preceptor About HonorVet Technologies HonorVet Technologies: Pioneering Purpose, Empowering Heroes Founded in 2015, HonorVet Technologies stands as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) , proudly certified by NaVOBA and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs .
