Video Engineer - Design Level: Mid-level Location: Herndon, Virginia Clearance Required: TS/SCI Full Scope Polygraph Position Description Responsibilities: • Attend customer meetings and conduct site surveys • Ability to translate customer requirements into functional system designs. • Understand architectural/construction drawings and documentation • Design and engineer complex audio/video/VTC systems • Provide floor plans and elevations • Create engineering, programming and installation labor estimates • Will not have supervisory responsibilities but may provide guidance for integration and/or installation teams • Audio/Video systems configuration and testing Hours of coverage: Individual shift may vary, but you will be a member of a team that provides coverage from 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Basic Qualifications: • Ability to communicate and interact professionally with colleagues, project stakeholders and the client • Understanding industry best practices in audio, video and control systems design/integration for conference rooms, operation center watch floors, training rooms, and VIP offices • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment • Ability to assess customer needs, meet quality standards for services, and evaluate customer satisfaction • Demonstrated problem solving skills. • Must demonstrate ability to thrive and succeed in a challenging environment. • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills • Able to interact with individuals from all levels of the organization • Basic understanding of IP technologies • Exceptional customer service skills • Proficiency in the use of MS Office suite to include Visio and Power Point • BA/BS and 4 years of experiences, or a combination of education and work experience equivalent to 8 years.
