Job Description Job Description UNIVERSITY OF OLIVET – posting – HVAC Technician (onsite SME) We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician (HVAC) to join our Facilities team. This full-time role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems across campus while supporting general building maintenance needs. Responsibilities: Diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC systems and components (pumps, motors, chillers, fans, thermostats). Perform preventative maintenance, including filter changes, lubrication, and cleaning. Fabricate and install ductwork, brackets, and supports; light welding and brazing as needed. Assist with general maintenance tasks such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, pool operations, and snow removal. Ensure compliance with safety codes and university standards. Qualifications: Required: EPA 608 Universal 5 years of HVAC experience Ability to lift 80 lbs., work in confined spaces, and adapt to varying conditions Preferred: Broader building maintenance experience and ability to manage work orders.
