Job Description The CNC Field Service Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and scheduling service technicians to customer sites for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of CNC machine tools. This role serves as the primary liaison between customers, field service engineers, and internal departments to ensure efficient resource utilization, minimal machine downtime, and high levels of customer satisfaction. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Schedule and dispatch CNC field service technicians based on skill set, location, and availability. Prioritize and assign service requests, emergency calls, and preventive maintenance tasks. Serve as the central point of communication between customers, service technicians, and internal teams. Maintain accurate records of service requests, schedules, work orders, and completion timelines. Monitor and adjust schedules daily to account for changes such as urgent service needs, delays, or cancellations. Coordinate travel logistics for visiting technicians, including accommodations when required. Track and manage service contract obligations, ensuring timely fulfillment of preventive maintenance visits. Work closely with parts and logistics teams to ensure required parts are available before dispatch. Provide customers with estimated arrival times, job status updates, and follow-up communication after service completion. Support service department metrics by tracking technician utilization, response times, and customer satisfaction. Create and issue service invoices. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications & Professional Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations, or related field preferred. 2 years of scheduling, dispatching, or customer service experience, preferably in a service field or manufacturing environment. Experience with CNC machine tools, manufacturing, or industrial equipment scheduling strongly preferred. Skills & Competencies Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in scheduling software, ERP/CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make quick and effective scheduling decisions. Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to service excellence. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
