Overview The Regional Commercial Executive Manager will lead direct-to-consumer (DTC) sales efforts for travel insurance products across Latin American markets, leveraging deep insights into the travel industry to drive growth. This role develops tailored strategies that address the unique needs of travelers, D2C (direct to consumer strategy), and collaborates with partners such as airlines, tour operators, and online travel agencies to ensure offerings align with evolving travel trends and consumer expectations. Responsibilities Sales Ownership: Take full responsibility for all direct-to-consumer sales activities across the Latin American market. Manage and optimize the sales funnel, ensuring high conversion rates and customer satisfaction. Oversee the sales process for travel insurance products, including digital and offline channels, with a focus on scalability and efficiency. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to identify and capitalize on market opportunities, ensuring alignment with our sales objectives. Utilize CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and Google Analytics platforms to track and manage the sales pipeline effectively. Marketing Coordination: Collaborate closely with marketing agencies to align sales campaigns and promotional activities that drive DTC growth, providing strategic input on campaign messaging, creative direction, and promotional activities. Partner with marketing agencies to design and execute high-impact campaigns tailored to the unique needs of each Latin American market, emphasizing the value of travel insurance. Monitor the performance of marketing campaigns and provide actionable feedback to improve ROI and customer engagement. Strategic Planning Develop and implement country-specific sales strategies that address the unique consumer behaviors, regulatory environments, and competitive landscapes of each market in the travel industry. Identify emerging opportunities in smaller markets. Stay informed about travel industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to proactively adjust strategies and maintain a competitive edge. Performance Monitoring Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales performance metrics such as revenue growth, conversion rates, customer acquisition costs, and retention rates in travel insurance. Prepare and present detailed performance reports to senior leadership monthly, highlighting successes, challenges, and recommendations for DTC initiatives. Use data-driven insights to continuously refine sales strategies and improve operational efficiency, considering how travel trends impact sales performance and recommending adjustments accordingly. Qualifications Minimum of 7 years of proven experience in sales management, preferably in DTC channels and digital sales. Experience in the travel insurance or broader insurance industry is highly preferred. Bachelor’s degree in marketing, computer science or related field. Familiarity with CRM tools such as Google Analytics and Salesforce. Familiarity with Latin American markets and consumer behavior. Understanding of travel consumer behavior, including seasonal demand, booking patterns and preferences for travel insurance is a plus. Strong coordination skills to work with external marketing partners. Ability to craft and execute sales strategies for multiple countries in the region. Languages: Advanced English and Spanish mandatory; Portuguese is desirable. Travel: 25% of the time in Latin America.
