Job Description
Key Responsibilities Maintain Store Database System Record all day and night stock usage, as well as inter-depot transfers. Complete all standard order documentation. Reconcile the store database monthly. Order & Control Stock, Consumables and Uniforms Monitor and maintain correct stock levels (min/max). Place bulk monthly stock orders with main suppliers. Check and verify all incoming orders. Conduct quarterly stock checks and annual uniform orders. Issue spares, consumables, uniforms, and maintain first aid supplies. Ensure a neat, safe, and well-maintained work area. Control Tools & Equipment Manage and issue small and specialized tools as required. Requirements: 25 years experience in parts / stock control within the motor industry, truck workshop, or dealership. Hands-on experience with vehicle parts, spares, consumables, and workshop stock. Previous exposure to inventory control systems (Kerridge/Autoline, Pinnacle, Pastel Evolution, or similar). Client uses Freeway Experience conducting stock counts, reconciliations, and supplier orders. Advantage: experience in a fleet, transport, or heavy-duty vehicle servicing environment. Skills & Competencies Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good computer literacy - inventory systems Knowledge of Health & Safety and workshop best practices. Ability to plan, organize, and manage stock levels effectively. People skills for issuing parts/tools to mechanics and managing uniform distribution. Time management and ability to work under pressure.
