Job Description

Overview The Field Application Specialist (FAS) for the Vanadis NIPT and NGS portfolio will support the Diagnostics sales organization in the achievement of defined revenue targets for product lines assigned. The FAS will work with the South EU territory sales and marketing team to define and deliver pre- and post-sales strategies, including presentation materials, demonstrations and training. The sales organization consists of direct sales account managers and sales agents. The role includes running internal and customer training and driving innovation in new business field opportunities. Responsibilities Pre- and post-sales support; collaborate with the sales team to improve sales execution and maximize prospect conversion rates, ensuring customer needs are qualified, presenting and demonstrating Revvity's solutions, positioning benefits and price, and improving win rate within the market to grow market share. Assist the sales team in assessing customer needs, differentiating Revvity's value proposition from competition, and handling customer objections. Provide high‑degree technical support to local teams and users, including instrument demonstrations, sample running, technical guidance on quoting, and troubleshooting. Act as a technical consultant to the customer quoting process to ensure configurations meet customer needs and commitments fall within instrument performance specifications. Assist the Sales team in developing targeted account strategies to deliver annual business and share growth targets for key accounts. Generate a strong customer referral base and utilize it as needed. Demonstrations: plan and manage demos with Sales Agents and Account Managers, report outcomes (won/lost and revenue); provide effective and timely high‑level demos; own the demo inventory for defined product lines (conditions and locations). Marketing: provide technical competitive intelligence to the European Field Product Leader for differentiation and response to competitors’ tactics; contribute content for marketing collateral. Training: assist in training internal/external sales channels (Account Managers, Instrument Specialists, Agents); develop sales professionals’ skills for simple demos and independent selling; provide training assistance to service partners on instrument use; develop customer training materials and ensure standards of excellence in customer training; deliver product training to customers and post‑sales support. Education and experience Degree in Molecular Biology or similar, and/or experience with NGS workflow. Ability to define and promote added-value solutions for customers. Fluent English for internal communication; customer interactions will be mainly in Italian; Spanish is a plus. Good experience in informatics environment. Competencies Strong communication skills for meetings, conference calls, and process documentation; ability to prepare and conduct lectures, presentations and training to a diversified audience. Strong interpersonal skills; ability to operate independently and as part of a team. Other Available to travel across all EU (average of 3 days per week away from home); prepared to travel occasionally to support other areas outside the assigned territory.
