Field Service Engineer

Overview Field Service Engineer (Emilia Romagna) at Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, part of Danaher Corporation, is responsible for service, repair and/or installation of products or IT solutions at customer sites, including electrical and mechanical testing, in accordance with maintenance contracts. Diagnoses system failures and determines the most cost-effective solution. Escalates complex issues to higher level of technical support or quality reporting system. May develop new customer service or product agreements. Responds to customer support calls within an assigned territory. Demonstrates the ability to use critical thinking and analysis to make decisions, solve problems, and implement solutions. Communicates effectively and builds empathy with customers, colleagues and collaborators. Responsibilities Provide technical customer support and on-site assistance to customers. Escalate complex issues to higher level of technical support or to the quality reporting system. Respond to customer support calls within an assigned territory. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering is preferred, or Biotech/Technical/Electronic secondary school diploma; proficient English is mandatory. Open to travel; driving license is mandatory. Good communication and interpersonal skills in English and Italian. Able to work autonomously and as a team player.
