Customer Service Specialist

Job Description Overview of Position: The Customer Service Specialist will be responsible for inbound calls from prospective and existing customers. They will provide direct customer service in a busy, fast-paced clinic setting with multiple providers and non-clinical staff. Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. Previous office, call center, or customer service experience is preferred. Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, hold a valid driver’s license, and be flexible with work schedule. Knowledge/Skills: Maintain current general medical knowledge. Understand company and program policies and procedures, and be familiar with HopeHealth’s mission, vision, and values. Proficiency in basic software applications such as Microsoft Office. Effective communication skills, both oral and written. Essential Job Functions: Greet customers courteously and professionally using procedures learned during training. Listen attentively to customer needs and demonstrate empathy. Communicate effectively with individuals and teams to ensure high-quality and timely responses to customer requests. Use EPM software to schedule patient appointments as requested. Follow provider templates for scheduling and communication. Ensure all patient demographic information is included and verify appointments using two identifiers: name and date of birth. Follow scripts for scheduling new patients and handle urgent needs promptly or escalate to site director. Participate in training and continuing education opportunities. Perform other duties as assigned. Physical Requirements: Must have direct client contact. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Use of computer for extended periods. Ability to sit, squat, lift, and stand as needed. Must possess a current driver’s license and reliable transportation. May be required to work at other sites as needed. J-18808-Ljbffr
