Mechanical Engineer (Temporary 6-12 months)

Job Description Job Description We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer (Temporary 6-12 Months) to become a part of our team! You will be required to perform a variety of engineering tasks, as well as identify areas of improvement to increase operation efficiency. This is a unique opportunity for an engineer to directly influence product design and innovation in the decorative plumbing industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background, a proven track record of original work, and the ability to transform concepts into manufacturable, high-quality products. Compensation: $90,000 – $120,000 (based on experience) Term: 6–12 month temporary assignment Responsibilities: Design and develop faucets, flush valves, and accessories from concept through production. Create and maintain 3D CAD models, technical drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs). Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, production, quality) to ensure seamless execution. Develop prototypes, conduct performance and durability testing, and implement improvements. Apply Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles to optimize cost and efficiency. Research new materials, finishes, and emerging technologies to inspire innovative product solutions. Participate in design reviews, balancing creativity with technical precision. Provide documentation and engineering support to suppliers and manufacturers. ​ Qualifications: Must own the latest version of SolidWorks (workstation provided if needed). Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred). Portfolio or examples of previous creative engineering work (required). Proficiency in SolidWorks and strong CAD modeling skills. Solid understanding of manufacturing processes: casting, machining, plastics, and finishing. Experience with prototyping, testing, and GD&T. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
