Job Description
Overview Warehouse Manager at Keller Warehousing & Co-Packing located in Allentown, PA (6980 Snowdrift Rd., Allentown, PA 18106). We are now hiring a warehouse manager to join the team. This is a working manager position requiring 2-3 years of warehouse management experience with WMS and handheld scanner experience. Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed. What you'll be doing Be available and responsive to all shifts when needed; participate for additional coverage (e.g., shortchanges, weekend coverage). Oversee overall operations, including customer use, service, and contract KPIs. Maintain warehouse metrics and meet customer scorecard objectives; lead continuous improvement for efficient, profitable operations. Lead forklift training and safety programs; maintain training records and retraining as required. Maintain payroll records, timecards, and time-off approvals; coordinate with HR as required. Adhere to attendance policies. Maintain and update warehouse SOPs; ensure training requirements are documented. Hold supervisor staff accountable for job requirements and follow-through. Lead accident investigations and corrective actions; conduct drug tests as required. For food-grade warehouses, lead food safety culture and audit/maintain food safety standards. Onboard and train new employees in coordination with HR; complete new hire paperwork and training checklists. Complete OSHA requirements and maintain building safety and security plans. Strategic planning of distribution services: receiving, storing, shipping, handling, and order fulfillment to achieve high accuracy and minimize claims. Oversee daily warehouse activities, including labor scheduling, supervision, and space/equipment utilization to meet budget objectives. Plan daily labor needs based on forecasted sales, collaborate with HR and staffing agencies for staffing. Create and maintain a well-trained staff through cross-training and mentorship. Direct and oversee job assignments in compliance with company policies and federal/state laws. Additional duties as assigned. Ability to analyze processes and recommend improvements. Ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-range goals. Physical ability to stoop, push, pull, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly. Additional Qualifications and Experience 5 years of Warehouse Management Experience preferred. WMS and handheld scanner experience. Willingness to travel infrequently. Must obtain Industrial Truck Certification through in-house training. Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as requested by supervisor. Personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by each facility – refer to handbook for specific requirements.
