Logistics Manager

Position: Logistics Manager Industry: Manufacturing Location: Midrand - Gauteng Salary: Market related Qualifications and Experience: Bachelors degree in supply chain management , logistics , international business, or related field. Masters degree will be an advantage. Experience: 7 to10 years of experience in international logistics and supply chain management ,with significant exposure to African markets. Experience &knowledge of freight forwarding Incoterms, customs procedures, and logistics contracts. Experience in implementing logistics management systems and ensuring visibility across multiple units & countries. Understanding land freight across African corridors , as well as air and sea freight coordinations. Exceptional organizational , negotiation and leadership skills. Ability to work in challenging circumstances. Responsibilities: Managing International logistics across road, maritime and airfreight. Building strong partners hips with freight forwarders, airlines and transport providers. Ensuring compliance with customs, Incoterms, trade and legal requirements. Overseeing Shipments from booking to final delivery Implementing systems, for real-time tracking and standardised workflows. Aligning inventory stock records, across warehouses and business units. Mitigating risks linked to customs , security and infrastructure challenges. Monitoring KPIs , reporting to senior management and drive cost efficiency.
