TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified NICU RN in Largo, Maryland, 20774! Pay Information $2,271 per week About The Position Job Title: NICU Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: NICU Duration: 18 weeks Shift: Rotating Day/Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years required, will consider first-time travelers but not preferred License: Active state license required Certifications: BLS, NRP, STABLE Must-Have: - Experience in a Level 3 NICU - Ability to float to Mother/Baby and Labor/Delivery Description: Winter contract for an 18-week assignment. The traveler may request one of the three major holidays. Position involves rotating between day and night shifts with a guaranteed 36 hours per week. Every other weekend is required. Holidays are scheduled as required. Floating to Mother/Baby to care for newborns and to Labor/Delivery as a Newborn Assessment Nurse is required. The average daily census is 10 patients. The unit has 16 beds. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:3-4. The patient age range is neonates. Unit diagnoses include patients from 23 weeks gestational age. Special procedures in the unit include intubation, mechanical ventilation, NIPPV, CPAP, Bubble CPAP, central lines, PIV, gavage feeding, circumcision, and phototherapy. The environment requires familiarity with multiple neonatal care skills and equipment. Completion of compliance documents is required before starting. Travelers should be comfortable floating with no restrictions as long as it is within their experience scope. Previous charge experience is preferred. References from the most recent employers are required. Candidates must be located more than 50 miles from the facility for consideration.
