Job Description Job Description Position Summary: This position provides clinical and administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations within a healthcare setting. The role focuses on coordinating patient care processes, managing documentation, and maintaining compliance with treatment protocols and regulatory requirements. This job is for full-time hours. Key Responsibilities: Patient Coordination & Clinical Support Facilitate scheduling of patient appointments, follow-ups, and specialized services. Assist with medication-related processes, including ordering, prior authorizations, and pharmacy communications. Initiate and manage required treatment protocols, forms, and documentation. Collect and document vital signs, laboratory specimens, and urine drug screens in accordance with established procedures. Coordinate patient transportation services when necessary. Support patient education and consent processes. Maintain compliance with program requirements, such as REMS and other regulatory standards. Administrative & Compliance Support Scan, upload, and file documents in electronic or physical records. Place orders for labs and other services through internal systems. Conduct chart reviews and prepare files for appointments. Perform audits of storage areas, including medication and supply inventory. Verify patient identification and insurance information. Handle referrals, patient forms, and required authorizations. Collect and process patient payments. General Operations Maintain clean and organized clinical and common work areas. Schedule team or patient-related activities as needed. Communicate with pharmacies, labs, and external service providers to coordinate care. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in healthcare administration or medical assisting is preferred. Prior experience in a healthcare or clinical office environment is an asset. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and office software. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and in compliance with regulations. Has to pass a drug screening per Virginia state laws and a criminal background check. Work Environment: This role requires interaction with patients, providers, pharmacies, and other healthcare partners in a fast-paced clinical environment.
