There are no liabilities or costs involved as the Health Society are responsible for daily management of staff and premises. Overheads are fixed , around 25%. Community Information Quadra Island, located off the east coast of Vancouver Island in the heart of the Discovery Islands, is surrounded by some of the most spectacular scenery in the world. Many professionals reside on Quadra Island and work in Campbell River, a 10 minute ferry ride away. There is a local school for Kindergarten to Grade 5 and marvelous daycare and preschool programs as well as a vibrant arts community, small organic farms and two vineyards. Situated in the center of an absolutely pristine outdoor recreational area, there is an active ecotourism industry focused on fishing, hiking, mountain biking and kayaking.
