Job Description

Overview Warehouse Manager role at Keller Freight Solutions, Allentown, PA. Located at 6980 Snowdrift Rd., Allentown, PA 18106. This is a working manager position with long-term growth potential. What you’ll be doing Be available and responsive to all shifts, providing coverage as needed (shortages, weekend coverage, etc.). Oversee overall warehouse operations, customer use, service, and contract KPIs; lead continuous improvement to ensure efficient, profitable operations. Lead forklift training and maintain recurrent training for safe daily operations. Maintain payroll records, approve timecards and time-off requests, and coordinate with HR on issues. Adhere to attendance policy standards. Maintain and ensure accuracy of warehouse SOPs; ensure training requirements are documented. Hold supervisor staff accountable for job requirements and follow-through. Lead and participate in accident investigations and corrective actions; conduct drug tests as required by policy. For food-grade warehouses, lead a food safety culture and audit/maintain food safety standards. Coordinate new employee onboarding and training with HR; complete new hire paperwork and training checklists. Complete/maintain OSHA requirements and safety plans in compliance with company/client standards. Strategic planning of all distribution services (receiving, storing, shipping, handling, order fulfillment) to achieve high accuracy and minimize claims. Oversee daily warehouse activities (labor scheduling, supervision, space and equipment utilization) to meet budget objectives. Plan and monitor daily labor requirements with HR and staffing agencies; adjust based on sales forecasts. Create and maintain a well-trained staff through cross-training and mentorship. Direct and supervise assignments to align with company policies and laws. Additional duties as assigned. Qualifications 2-3 years of warehouse manager experience with WMS and handheld scanners. Employee development and performance management skills; ability to train and supervise staff and organize workload. Ability to foster a cooperative environment and strong organizational skills. Knowledge of inventory management practices; computer proficiency in a Windows-based environment. Ability to analyze processes and implement improvements; ability to plan and implement short and long-range goals. Physical ability to stoop, push, pull, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly. Additional qualifications 5 years of warehouse management experience preferred. WMS and handheld scanner experience; willingness to travel infrequently. Industrial Truck Certification (in-house training) required. Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed. PPE requirements per facility handbook. Working conditions Moderate exposure to unusual elements (extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, odors, loud noises).
