Data Analyst

The Role: You'll be supporting a workforce location strategy project, analysing data, cleansing records in Oracle, and help understand the real-world impact of location changes on people and the costs. This role needs someone who's confident in Excel, comfortable working with large datasets, and has a decent grasp of UK geography. What You'll Be Doing: Cleansing and classifying employee data (home/field/office) in Oracle Spotting mismatches between contracted and nearest office locations Supporting cost modelling for travel/mileage Working with HR, Finance, and other teams to align on policy Analysing home-to-office mileage and cost impacts Presenting clear, actionable insights to support decisions What You'll Need: Strong Excel skills (formulas, lookups, pivot tables - the works) Experience handling and interpreting large datasets A methodical, detail-focused approach Good communication and collaboration skills No HR experience needed, just a willingness to learn Nice to Have: Experience with workforce/location data Familiarity with organisational change or workforce planning Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
