HGV Class 1 Driver

HGV Class 1 Driver Location Weston Super Mare BS22 Salary - £16.00 - £19.00 per hour Shift pattern/days worked Monday - Friday & Weekends We're looking for qualified and experienced HGV class 1 drivers for regular work on an ongoing Monday to Friday and Weekends available, completing day shifts. The role is HGV 1 delivering packaging goods to depots throughout the UK ensuring customers receive a high level of customer service, Duties: - Safely operate a truck to transport goods and materials to designated locations - Making sure loads are strapped and secure - Plan routes and ensure timely delivery of goods - Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations - Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks - Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption - Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries Requirements: - Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) 2 years minimum experience - Clean driving record with no major violations - Proven experience as a truck driver driver - Ability to operate and maintain various types of trucks and trailers - Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines - Strong communication and customer service skills You will need to complete a 2 hour induction and assessment before starting in Shepton Mallet.
