CNC OPERATOR/PROGRAMMER MONDAY - THURSDAY: 8.30AM - 4.30 PM & FRIDAY 8.00AM - 12.00PM PAY RATE: £15.50 - £17.00 PER HOUR What's in it for me? The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in operating CNC machinery. This role is crucial for ensuring precision in the manufacturing process, and the successful applicant will be responsible for producing high-quality components while adhering to safety and quality standards. Holiday pay Early finish on Fridays No weekend work Excellent hourly rates Day to Day Duties Programme CNC milling machines and lathes to produce parts according to specifications. Assemble components using hand tools and machinery, ensuring adherence to design specifications. Conduct regular maintenance on CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance. Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine machining operations. Perform quality checks on finished products using precision measuring instruments. Collaborate with team members in the warehouse for materials handling and inventory management. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to tooling and machine operation. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations. Essential Skills Proven experience as a CNC Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various hand tools and machinery. Familiarity with logic controllers and basic maths for measurement calculations. Experience with welding techniques is advantageous but not essential. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Previous experience in materials handling within a warehouse setting is beneficial.
