We've been engaged by one of the UK's leading waste management organisations to recruit an Environmental Manager. The role will be overseeing various environmental initiatives with local authorities across their site in Southampton. Responsibilities of the Environmental Manager will include: Ensure full compliance with environmental legislation Maintain the site Environmental Management System (EMS) and ensure continued ISO14001 certification Monitor and manage Scope 1, 2, and 3 greenhouse gas emissions, reporting progress towards their Net Zero and sustainability goals Liaise with the Environment Agency and being the main point of contact for key stakeholders The successful Environmental Manager will have: Proven experience in a similar role within waste, chemicals or a related industry Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline The ability to influence and engage with all levels of the organisation Preferably some experience in environmental management or sustainability roles This position would suit an experienced Environment professional who enjoys striving for improvements and best practice.
