Permit to Work (PTW) Coordinator Location: Port of Nigg, Inverness (Office-based) Contract: Rolling 6-month contract Hours: ~38 hours per week (provisional) Start Date: Training & Onboarding: ~15th October Site Work Commencement: 15th November About the Role We are seeking an experienced Permit to Work (PTW) Coordinator to join the team at our Port of Nigg pre-assembly site for a major offshore windfarm project. The successful candidate will play a key role in implementing, managing, and administering the Permit to Work system to ensure that all work activities are controlled, coordinated, and carried out safely in compliance with CDM Regulations, statutory requirements, and project HSE procedures. Key Responsibilities Manage the full lifecycle of the Permit to Work system, including application, approval, issue, monitoring, and closure. Coordinate daily PTW meetings, reviewing work scopes, identifying conflicts, and ensuring safe contractor interfaces. Verify RAMS, isolations, and prerequisite documentation before issuing permits. Maintain accurate PTW records, isolations, and compliance documentation for auditing. Deliver inductions, toolbox talks, and refresher training on PTW procedures. Provide assurance that statutory and CDM safe systems of work requirements are met. Support incident investigations and contribute to continuous improvement of PTW processes. Essential Experience & Qualifications Previous experience as a PTW Coordinator or Control of Work Lead on major construction, marine, or offshore energy projects. Strong knowledge of CDM 2015 and relevant UK HSE legislation. Demonstrated experience managing SIMOPS, isolations, and contractor interface management. Temporary works experience. Excellent organisational, communication, and conflict resolution skills. Desirable: NEBOSH General/Construction Certificate (or equivalent). Offshore wind, heavy lift, or pre-assembly yard experience. Familiarity with marine operations and vessel interface management. Reporting Line Reports to: Site/Construction Manager (Principal Contractor Representative) Interfaces with: HSE Manager, Lifting Coordinator, Marine Coordinator, Contractor Supervisors
