Families Worker Wimborne Methodist Church, Wimborne Minster, Dorset £14.10 per hour, initially 15 hours per week on average, split of hours to be agreed Part time | Permanent Families Worker for Wimborne Methodist Church We are seeking a new Families Worker To work with the church in reaching out to children and their families To stimulate their interest in following Christ Who is energetic and creative With the ability to build on established work within the church To be innovative in new initiatives and connections. Hours: 15 hours per week, spread across the week, including some Sundays. This will include: Monday afternoon, Happy Faces; monthly Tuesday evening GLOW; and monthly Friday 5.30pm – 7.45pm Hi-Ten, all school term time Salary: Pay will be £14.10 per hour, with pro rata 28 days annual leave. Contract: Permanent, with six month probationary period Principle purpose of the role: To support and build existing activities for children and families within the church To develop a work programme of new activities for families and children To enable children and families to engage in the life of the church There is a Genuine Occupational Requirement that the holder of this post is a Christian (a ref to the Equality Act 2010 part 1), as this is a Christian Ministry post.
