Common diagnoses and types of patients include Vascular, Neuro, EP, Cardiology, IR, and Catheterization. EP cases include ablations, device implantation, and temporary pacemakers, with anesthesia present for every EP case. Procedure nurses will circulate and monitor patients. They may float to other areas such as CT, Ultrasound, or MRI to assist with procedures. Recovery nurses will work in a 17-bed post-procedure area. Techs are scheduled for four ten-hour shifts. Moreover, the rotation involves one night of on-call duty per week and every third or fourth weekend. Employees are expected to take approximately one holiday per year, which is rotated among the staff. Unit-specific orientation typically lasts 2 weeks, depending on the traveler's experience. There are ten techs assigned daily to cover Cath Lab and IR, with three techs designated per room. Mandatory call/standby requirements are in effect, maintaining a structured workflow. The dress code involves provided scrubs. The role involves participation in a hospital setting classified as Trauma Level 3.
