Senior Town Planner – Exciting Opportunity with a Leading Independent Consultancy Location: West Sussex A well-established independent planning consultancy is seeking a Senior Planner to join their dynamic team in West Sussex. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to work on a diverse portfolio of projects, ranging from large-scale residential and commercial developments to bespoke rural schemes. The Role As a Senior Planner, you’ll be responsible for managing your own caseload, preparing and submitting planning applications, and providing expert advice to clients and colleagues. You’ll play a key role in shaping planning strategies and delivering high-quality outcomes across a variety of sectors. Key Responsibilities Prepare and manage planning submissions, including Planning Statements, Appeal Statements, and Local Plan representations Provide professional planning advice across the business Lead client communications and manage accounts Contribute to fee proposals and tenders Attend planning committees and professional events as required Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external consultants About You RTPI-accredited degree and Chartered Membership of the RTPI Strong technical understanding of planning processes and current issues Experience in development planning or management, ideally in the private sector Excellent written, verbal, and organisational skills Commercial awareness and a proactive approach Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle Permanent right to work in the UK Benefits Flexible working hours with home working options 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays Discretionary bonus scheme Workplace pension and life insurance Mileage allowance Supportive team culture with a focus on work/life balance Interested?
