We are now seeking a Health and Safety Manager to join the team, and take charge of policy and ensure adherence. Day to day responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain compliance programs to ensure adherence to all relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices. Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas of non-compliance and pragmatically develop action plans to address any issues. Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies, providing information and documentation as required. Develop and deliver training programs on compliance and health and safety topics for employees at all levels of the organization. Monitor and evaluate workplace conditions to identify and mitigate health and safety risks. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and implement corrective and preventive measures to prevent reoccurrence. Keep abreast of developments in relevant legislation, regulations, and industry standards, and advise management on their implications for the organization. Collaborate and work positively with cross-functional teams to integrate compliance and health and safety considerations into business processes and decision-making. Prepare and submit reports to management and regulatory agencies as required. Make recommendations to senior leadership team including improvements, system advancements and best practice to ensure continuous improvement Qualifications Demonstrable experience in a compliance or health and safety role in the construction industry. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Proven track record of developing and implementing compliance and health and safety programs. Experience conducting audits, inspections, and investigations, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software applications.
