Medical Receptionist – GP Surgery (Starting ASAP) Location: Spennymoor Hours: 34 Hours PER WEEK Start Date: ASAP We are a working with a friendly and busy GP surgery looking for a Medical Receptionist to join the team. This is a key role at the heart of the practice, providing a welcoming and professional first point of contact for patients and supporting the wider clinical team. What you’ll be doing: Managing front desk enquiries Booking appointments and managing the surgery’s appointment system Handling incoming calls and correspondence Supporting the clinical team with administrative tasks Ensuring patient confidentiality is maintained at all times What we’re looking for: Previous reception, administrative or customer service experience (healthcare experience desirable but not essential) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organisational skills and attention to detail Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team IT literacy (familiarity with GP systems such as EMIS/SystmOne an advantage) If you are organised, people-focused and ready to start as soon as possible, we’d love to hear from you!
